Follow the steps below to get your Select Mini connected to your existing 2.4 GHz wireless network.

1. Disconnect USB cable from the printer
2. Turn on the MP Select Mini.
3. Open the “MP 3D Printer WiFi Connect” “EspTouch: SmartConfig for ESP8266, ESP32” app.
4. Verify the correct SSID is displayed.
5. Enter wireless network password or leave blank if no password is needed.
6. Use the printers dial and display to navigate to the “Move” menu.
7. Press and hold the dial button.
8. Release the button when the “Smart config started” message is displayed.
9. Tap the “Connect to WiFi” “CONFIRM” (or similar, possibly CONNECT) button and within 10-60 seconds the process should complete.
   1. The printer's screen will display “Smart config success” when the process is complete.
   2. The device will display “MP Select Mini is now connected to WiFi”… a message confirming success.
   3. You will also notice the Select Mini has been assigned an IP Address that is displayed at the top of the printer's display.

Note: If the “Smart config started” message does not stay after releasing the button you can hold the button down through the whole process and the message will disappear once the WiFi is connected.

• This method will work with SSID & passwords that contain multiple spaces, space(s) at the end, special characters, & lower case characters in any location.
• This method will work if WiFi password contains a semicolon “;”
• This method will work for configuring open system WiFi networks with no password

• If the correct SSID is not displayed, go to the devices WiFi settings and switch to the appropriate wireless network.
• WiFi and USB cannot access the printer simultaneously. It is best to unplug a USB cable from the printer before attempting to set up WiFi. (Simultaneous wifi and USB connections to the printer is possible but some say it doesn't work for them. I have sent commands via WiFi and accessed the Web UI while the printer is connected to USB. I would nott recommend sending commands to the printer via WiFi while the printer is printing via USB.
• Disconnect USB cable from the printer if you want to use the WiFi function.
• WiFi works with 2.4 GHz b/g/n networks only.
• If you have a 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz network using the same SSID(wireless network name) you may have trouble connecting the printer to your wireless network. If you can temporarily disable or rename the 5 GHz SSID, you should do so. After an IP address has been assigned an IP address you can enable or change the 5 GHz SSID back to it's original name.
• For the initial WiFi setup try moving the printer closer to the WiFi router.

1. Perform the same steps to setup WiFi but use an incorrect password
2. The process is complete when:
   1. The printer's screen will display “Smart config success” when the process is complete.
   2. The device will either not show any message and time out or will show a “Mission failed” message after a minute or so.
   3. You will also notice the Select Mini no longer has an IP Address displayed at the top of the printer's display. It should say no connection.

The screen captures below are from the “MP 3D Printer WiFi Connect” that is no longer available. The “EspTouch: SmartConfig for ESP8266, ESP32” looks similar as far as the steps shown above are concerned.
